Our Cheezburger profiles are getting a makeover in the next week or so!
The new profiles will feature a new spruced up layout that is more compatible with the rest of our sites.
You’re going to see bigger images in places like the “Stuff” tab:
And under the “Friends” tab you’ll also find a new way to find friends—by their Cheezburger username or email:
We’ve also added some really creative and fun headers that you can choose for your profile, everything from “Bowie Cat”:

or “Greetings from Seattle”:
You’re going to have fun browsing through all of the different options—it’s hard to pick just one. We’re also continuing to work on these profiles, so expect more features in the future!
Great! All these sound like awesome improvements. Is there any way you could allow hyperlinks in the messages? Just for sharing lols with each other.
Sounds good, but I still think you guys should find a way to let us customize our profile. Or at least themes for various fandoms.

I second the request for hyperlinks. It’s really annoying to have to copy/paste (sometimes doing it incorrectly).
Also: It would be really nice to be able to upload our own headers.
A custom header sounds like a great idea, but for now I’m going to do the Me Gusta header that you have.
Awww c’mon, You should know by now that people like to customize their profiles to their likings, also, we should really have the option to delete our own websites and close accounts without having to contact cheezburger.
Aaaaand once again Cheezburger takes back seat to the monolith ‘FB’ in the ‘friend finding’!! Support *Cheezburger* by putting Cheezburger first!

And can we customize the background on our profiles too?
Can we have an option for the size of the images in our ‘stuff’ and ‘favorite’ tabs? Sometimes when I am searching for something specific in my stuff I want to go through many lols at once and then there are times I want to see it larger without opening it (if I have a couple that are close in style) and an option for larger or smaller images would be very helpful.

First: I am talking about the “Find Friends” example image up there, where there is a very large “On Faceboo” button ABOVE the ‘On Cheezburger’ option. I do not see why it would be so hard to put the FB junk BELOW the Cheezburger option. CHeezburger 1st! Not everyone has drunk the FB Kool-Aid.
Second: My current banner at the top of my profile is ‘cheezdoodle’, and I LIKE it. I do not see anything like that in the examples given here. I am hoping it will be in the ‘some creative new headers’ that are coming.
Third: The background of the entire page. I would like to customize it to another color. Too much bright white now… even here.
Fourth: The example image above has ‘bigger images in the Stuff Tab’, and that is nice, especially when I have two or more similar images with different captions, but I do have to search through my ‘Stuff’ and having the options of smaller images would put more on a single screen at a time and help in going through them faster.
Does that clear it up for you?
There are still many people sending greetings and messages ONE at a time.. hundreds of times. I don’t have time for that, and I know many friends SHARE in the request to be able to have a check box next to each name in our own Friends List… to Send things (quotes, greetings, announcements) to.. please? Also, I’ve been asking for a new header with both dogs and cats together.. some people have both pets, and Facebook lets us choose our own photos as an option for headers. Thanks for listening

What has ‘FB’ have to do with anything? You lost alot of good people when you hooked up with ‘FB’..

I was told by Ben they would not change the dashboards. This was when they released Beta. This is just one more opportunity to shove Facebook down our throats. Why? Why does it have to be everywhere? Can’t you give the non-Facebook people a break? Like an opt-out

Sorry, now that you’ve done another “improvement”, I vote 4 thumbs down (hands and big toes). It looks sloppy and amateurish, and you’ve deleted our links to personal websites. You’ve obviously dumbed it down to be used on mobile devices and ratcheted up the partnership with Facebook… again… I’ll ignore the basic look changes (I mean, when has complaints from any of your members mattered to you?), but how about bringing back the additional info that included our personal links? Or is only ICHC and Facebook content allowed?
Oh, and I notice that at some point you have “conveniently” misplaced the “feedback” function to ICHC, so this blog post comments page is our only way of expressing how we feel about the changes…….Not, like I said, that you care what the old gourd thinks….

Good, good. Now to just get rid of horrible, vomited Facebook blue color that you use as your basic color everywhere, and return back nice, different styles you used to have for every part of your website.
well, I guess the new profiles are in place. I, for one, DO NOT LIKE the layout, at all. I realize that “things change” but not all changes are for the better. if there is anyway to bring back the old layout please post that info someplace, preferably *soon*
