What do you do and how long have you been doing it?
The Daily What! 3 weeks! But I’ve been “curating” and “aggregating” via Facebook for years. Most of my friends have probably hidden me from their feeds.

Do your friends and parents understand where you work?
Actually, my parents get it more than my friends. My sorority sisters are pretty much, “Cats? But you hate animals,” and “Didn’t you USED to write a blog?”

What’s the most “interesting” thing that’s happened to you while you’ve worked at Cheezburger?
I’ve made it to Queen Anne! I work in the suburbs! I’ve lived in Pioneer Square for two years and I had trouble finding the QA Safeway last week. I’m exploring and discovering something new (The Spectator!) every day.

Tell us a behind-the-scenes story!
Ben told me in my interview — and I’m paraphrasing! — that whoever took over The Daily What would get hate mail for years. He is turning out to be right. If I knew then what I know now… No, seriously, I’m converting people slowly but surely. I killed one hater with kindness via email, and now we’re besties.

Favorite meme right now?
I’m still learning about memes. Probably Bill crashing Obama’s press conference that’s been going around this week. I’m a politics junkie.

Is there anything you used to think was terrible that you now think is really funny?
Animals. I’ve never liked them! But now that I have to find one or two videos every day for The Daily What, I’m the weird girl laughing out loud by herself in the office at 7 a.m.

So you’ve never seen Star Wars or Indiana Jones. Are there any other big pop culture things you’ve never experienced? (My dad has never eaten a donut.)
MUSIC. All music. I am terrible at it — name the artist, name the album, name the era, name the tour — I fail at ALL OF IT. If anyone wants to guest post on TDW when breaking music news happen, you’re more than welcome. Unless it’s about John Mayer or Norah Jones, I’m not qualified.

Anything else you want to tell us about yourself?
I was ET for Halloween when I was 9 months old.

What do you do and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been writing software professionally for nearly 15 years. I joined Cheezburger just over a year ago and did a lot of work on Cheezburger Sites. In January, I took on the mantle of Dr. Tinycat, our site reliability engineer. These days I work tirelessly to keep our sites online and stuffed full of pictures of cats.

So you work from home. How is that?
Working from my home office is a real blessing. I’ve always been very picky about my work environment, and working from home lets me pick the right chair, computer, desk, and lighting for me rather than falling victim to whatever was left in the supply closet when the last guy left.

What’s your favorite part of being at Cheez HQ for a week?
The people. There isn’t a single person at Cheez HQ that I wouldn’t want to get a beer with. There’s even this girl who moved here from the east coast and keeps calling me “friend”. I want to pet her!

Tell us a behind-the-scenes story!
I definitely wear the Freudian slip around the office. When I’m at HQ, people have to be on their toes when I speak up. Was that a double entendre, or do we really have a “content hole”? What did he mean when he said “I’m looking for the right ‘Open Space’”? I probably make two or three Freudian slips a gay.

Favorite meme right now?
Texts from Hillary is brilliant, but I have a soft spot for a good Me Gusta rage comic. Art of Trolling is definitely my favorite site. Those trolls always get me!

Is there anything you used to think was terrible that you now think is funny?
I never really got LOLcats, I’m a dog person. Things have turned around, though. Now LOLcats is a guilty pleasure of mine. Cat people… amirite??

I hear you have a dog.
It’s the truth. My canine companion is a 3 year-old mini schnauzer named Harvey. I taught myself how to do his grooming, so he’s turned into my own personal bonsai tree. Harvey always looks super angry in his photos, so he became the inspiration for my Cheezburger Site: Harvey Hates You. He just finished learning the command “Can I have a hug?” and we’re starting work on “roll over”. His favorite treat is Himalayan Yak Cheese.

Anything else you want to share with us?
I just drank a bottle of clam juice while humping a picnic table on a dare if anyone is looking for a life coach.

What do you do and how long have you been doing it?
I drink coffee, that is what I do. Been doin’ that since the 4th grade. As for what I do here… I’ve been at Cheez for a solid 4 months now and have yet to figure out what my official title is. For now, I will say I am the “Multi-media Content Creator and Master for Ad/Sales and Marketing.” Essentially I make content where content is needed, I mine the internet for relevant content; and I make sites all. day. long. I’m a “jack of all trades,” if you will.

Tell us a behind-the-scenes story!
A few weeks ago I started putting office supplies in the girls’ bathroom. I was waiting to see if anyone would notice/do anything and finally, people started drawing on post-its and putting them all over the bathroom. There’s a lot of poop jokes. A looooot of poop jokes. Woops — I think I just blew my cover. Hey ladies, it was me. I am the “masked supplier.”

So you make a lot of Cheezburger Sites. What are some Sites you have made?
I counted the other day and realized I have hit 65 sites; I think I need to pump the brakes. Some of my favorites are:

I Before E – A site devoted to all of my fellow grammar nerds out there
Gaydar – A site devoted to all of my fellow gays out there; gay-positive and amaaahzing
The Originals – A site devoted to what I feel are the original memes; the internet wonders that started it all
Remix – A site devoted to remixed, mashup-ed and dubstepped versions of songs
So Say We All – Clearly, a site devoted to BSG. Sometimes you just gotta roll a hard six
The Spice – A site devoted to my gingers out there; ginger-positive

Okay, okay I’m done!

Favorite meme right now?
I hate that I think Dolan is funny, but I do. First World Problems are always great. I’m also jonesing for anything Hunger Games right now. Longtime fan. Oh man, that’s another site…

Is there anything you used to think was terrible that you now think is really funny?
That is a FANTASTIC question. You should ask everyone that question. I hate to admit this, but when Rage Comics were first becoming a thing, I was too lazy to read them. Honestly, it wasn’t necessarily that I thought they were terrible, it was more of a moot point for me. And now that is my go-to site. I can’t believe I missed out on it for so long.

So I heard you used to work for Bacon Salt…
You heard correctly. I moved up to Seattle to go to school back in ’07 and found the job on Craigslist within the first two weeks of being up here. I still remember the title of the job posting: “Do you love bacon?” to which I answered “duh.” I worked there for a solid 2.5 years, right as the company was moving from Dave’s garage into an office space. It was a great experience to be with a company from the start and watch it grow. By the time I left, we had been on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, made Bacon Chapstick and launched Baconnaise with a rowdy night of Baconnaise wrestling. Yep. Wrestling in bacon-flavored mayonnaise. My mom was so proud.

Peeta or The Other Guy?
I think Katniss and Johanna should have gotten together in the end; that would have been the most stable relationship of them all. Bahaha. Okay but really, between Peeta and Gale? I understand her pull to Gale, having that person who is essentially family already; on the other hand, I think what develops between her and Peeta is very natural and genuine. I don’t want to drop any spoilers for those who haven’t read the whole series, so I will just say I’m happy with how things turned out; I think it makes sense.

I’d love to tell you loads more but I have to go make more sites.
