We are very excited to announce that the “Recaption” tool is back! To access this feature from the front page, just click on the post’s title to view its single post page. Hover your mouse over the image and you’ll see a “Recaption” button appear in the upper right corner. Click this button and you’ll be on your way to recaptioning in the builder in no time! The button will also appear on posts that you select from your profile (dashboard, favs, My LOLz).

Well, thanks for giving us that ability back, it IS appreciated. But I have to wonder why it took five weeks, and what about the related ability to see other captions made with that picture? (Vital to have if you want to avoid duplicating something someone else did)

Really? “I have to wonder why it took five weeks…”? People seem to have forgotten that it takes time to design, write, and test code, and THEN get it approved for a website before releasing it on the public. It doesn’t just *poof!* appear. (I have lived with a programmer for many years (and programmed a touch myself)) It isn’t instant.
and maybe a way of deleting our own comments would be nice… while you are moderating this version, could you delete and keep the other? Thanks.

Yesss! This is one of the features I missed very much. My biggest problem is that it is not an intuitive process. Unless u hover ur cursor somewhere in the box containing the LOL, the feature does not appear. When I was a noob, everything had to be there for me to stumble my way through it as I had maybe 5 frens all as new as me
Is there any way to have that feature show permanently – not on the LOL itself but contained within the box the LOL is in. Also, is this feature going to be a part of the Front Page like it used to be? I have to be honest, sometimes an LOL just does not tickle my funny bone and I do not wish to fave it just in order to recaption it because I like the pic. I also would like that feature on the voting pages. But I am very happy to see this feature back so fank u bery much.
I’m glad to see this back, too. It gives me some hope that we may, someday, get back to having as cool a site as we used to, although I’m sad at how many cheezpeeps have left, maybe for good, because the ICHC staff did not keep us in the loop about what was going on and how long it might take. That lack of honesty and trust hurt, and still does. Even though desirable tech features may be returning, the credibility of the Powers That Be will take much, much longer to recover.
