New set. Supposed to get it from Memebase. I got cupcake kitty. Great………. Big help.
I love the new collectibles. But I think ICHC still needs to do some tweaking. When I logged in this morning I got an ice cream cat from the last set, but not one from this set. Thankfully I still have a few coins left and may be able to buy what I don’t get.
Yeah, I think they were a bit slow retiring those ones. I always start by going onto the sites on two different computers while not logged on, then proceeding to log onto whichever computer offers me the better collectible. The first computer offered me an Ice Cream Cat, so I turned down the offer and accepted the Scene Wolf offered to me by the other computer. The ironic thing is that I found a Scene Wolf on the homepage of Go Cry Emo Kid; it’s not surprising, just ironic.
I think they could have done better with the Insane Wolf, because it’s hard to really recognize that someone has it. Before you get a collectible, when you look at it in your collection it will appear gray; this one is almost completely gray, even in the background, anyway. Because of that, when you look at it in your collection the only differences between its colored appearance and its gray one are the eyes and mouth.
I hope they do this more often, having sets in which all of the collectibles present are actual meme characters.
Don’t like this set at all….don’t like the new system…even checking in every day there is no way you can get the whole set…I got multiples of the first three in each set but no popstar cat or keyboard cat…
Last week one of my friends taught me a way of ensuring that you get the collectible you want. It’s an improvement on my 2-computer technique:
Step 1: Log off
Step 2: Visit ICHC or Memebase and view 2 pages so the collectible appears.
Step 3 If the collectible you find isn’t the one you want: Clear Cookies and Cache.
Step 4: Repeat stages 2 and 3 until you find the collectible you want. By clearing the Cookies and Cache, you can make it seem as if you haven’t visited the site yet today, but it can’t be used to get more than one collectible a day. Once you claim one, you’ll still have to wait until the next day to claim another.
if you use chrome or firefox just use privacy or incognito mode. No cache clearing necessary, just close the private window and open a new private window. Also no logging off necessary, much easier.
Oh goody! Moar collectblol messups. The system wuznt broke in the first playce till the Cheezlords and Technology Impaired Duck started messin’ wif it in an attempt at a cash grab. Ai wunder why things dat ain’t broke need fixin in da first playce?

Why don’t the new collectibles go live at midnight cheez time? You would think after all the talk of change this one thing would at least be done right.
People not living near the US have to wait until halfway through our day before we can go on the websites in case we get an old collectible on Mondays.
Look at it this way, if you need an extra day to finish off this set, just get one of the collectibles earl next Monday morning before they get replaced. You still have seven days worth of time, it’s just that instead of being from 12 AM Monday to 12 AM the next Monday, it’s more like 12 PM Monday to 12 PM the next Monday.
That is a very good way to look at it and I see the advantages, but it just isn’t how it would work if it was working how I would expect it to. It means I can’t view any sites that will give me collectibles on Monday mornings if I want to get one of the new set.

I got one of the Nyan cats from visit to Memebase, but I did manage to get a new one from the ICHC. A cheetah. When I saw the cheetah pop up, I was like what is this? The Evolution Set is the cutest set, but I’ll get both sets to be complete.
The plus side, I noticed are that you added the Buy Set to the PIU and also the Taco Cat, so thanks for adding that, and it will give folks a chance to buy their Swimwear Formal that they missed out on.
You STILL need to make them all equal and cut out this elusive collectible BS. And cut the one week rule.
I wrote in to the Evolution Cat blog because I didn’t get any collectibles at all today. Suggestions?
Nevermind. Somehow they came up on my collectibles page even though they didn’t pop up when I was on the sites.

So far I have received the exact same thing every day this week. I got 4 Lions and 4 Insanity Wolves. [Edited]
Rufus – it is entirely possible to get 4 in a row of a collectible as our system works like a coin flip meaning the probability does not change from day to day or based on what you have. The first items are weighted a little bit so you are not crazy in seeing what you are seeing. That being said we are looking closely at which individual Collectibles are being granted and seeing if/how we want to adjust the system.
Also to be fair – we do want to see folks end up with multiples of a Collectible to encourage trading and gifting. We just need to make sure there are enough offsetting multiples so that there is a fun trading/gifting market for everyone.
Same here, but not as bad. 2 different collectibles of each set, but doubles of each.
I would trade with you if we didn’t have the same thing.
Last week I got the exact same collectibles on both sites four days. This week I got the exact same collectibles on both sites for five days. If this were really just the “Flip of a coin” I would have my hiney in Vegas by now and be raking it in on the roulette wheels. The EXACT SAME collectibles on BOTH sites 4 consecutive days last week, and 5 consecutive days this week? I don’t think that if Mr. Spock and Sheldon Cooper put their minds together they could compute the odds of that.
Rufus – Agreed that seems unlikely and it’s something we’re looking into. We want a healthy surplus across all 4 and will be working to make sure that happens.
