We here at CheezHQ are pleased to announce new feature that will blast your inbox with double rainbows of happiness (not an exaggeration, I assure you) and make it even easier to keep in touch with your cheezfriends. The next time a message is posted on your Cheezburger profile, you will get a copy of the message automatically sent to your email address. Magic!
Want to send your friend a message back? Of course you do! Simply log in to your profile or follow the link in the email to view your conversation with your friend to respond.
Do you have an intense fear of email messages? Or would you just prefer not to get an email notification of new messages? No problem, we got you covered.
Just follow the link in the email message to your Profile Settings, or log in to your profile and click the “Edit my profile” link on the right side of the screen. Scroll down until you see the Account Settings and uncheck the checkbox shown in the screenshot below.
And there you go, no more emails for you!
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We love to hear from you!

hmm… interesting… If I cancel it because I won’t be able to reply to my email for a while, can I reinstate it when I come back?
Yes, the setting will always be there for you to change. If you want to turn it off now and then later start getting emails for new messages, you just need to check the box again.
Excellent! Now, if there a way to send an lol to several cheezpeeps at once.
Yay!! I’m so glad we have this feature now. Thanks Olivia!
Oh I like this! Especially that we have control and can turn it off and on as we wish. Thank you Cheezlords.
OFF! OFF! OFF! OFF! OFF! OFF! OFF!
No way, no how.. no more email volume from the ‘burger. I’d turn off the creation notices if I could.
Yes, we’ve heard the request to be able to turn off the LOL creation email messages from a number of people. I’ll check in with the team to see if that might be possible for us to work on soon.
Whew.. I’m happy again. It’s off.
iz likez thiz idez! doz yuz? i lovez my cheezlorz!
Hi CheezBrass:
Is there a way to NOT get an email notification that says Thanks for Creating a LOL?
These are swamping my email, and after making nearly 7,000 LOLs I’m getting pretty familiar with when it happens.
Thanks!
At this time, there isn’t any way to shut off the email you get when you make a LOL, but we know it’s something that other people have asked for. I’ll talk to the team to see what we might be able to do about putting a setting in place to handle that. Thanks!
Sweet! This will make it much easier to keep up with incoming messages. Thankee :^)
This would be a more helpful tool if you could set the preference to allow emails for certain friends when you chat with them on here. Still this is a good idea but I get so many emails that I think I’ll keep my pref turned off for now.
Thank-you for the suggestion, it’s a great idea. I will put that on the list of future improvements.
Here’s a suggestion. I would like to have some of our messages to be “private”.
I have seen things come across my feed that should have maybe been private in my opinion. There are some things that shouldn’t be seen by everyone.
There are comments which is usually okay to be seen, and then there are messages that are meant for the person being talked to.
Yes, we’ve heard that suggestion before. I don’t know when, but we do intend to offer a private messaging feature sometime in the future. Thanks!!
is nice
How can I change my email address?
To change your email address, click on the “Account Info” link on the right side of your dashboard when you log into your profile. There you will see a form with a field for email address where you can change it. Hope this helps!
Well, most of my friends on ICHC don’t have time to talk and chat, so, thanks. nice to know you lot are gettng all this new info out. Thanks.

I agree with a couple of the posters re: a way to send a “group” e-mail, for example, when one friend is ill and a group is waiting on word for a friend’s condition. There have also been times when I have wanted to send my provate e-mail to a certain friend, but I don’t like the idea of it being out there for the world to see (in other words, a Private setting choice would be nice for those circumstances).
Love the new email feature. Agree with “privacy request.”
